Ceramics and Sculpture
Certificate Program
Ten courses at 1.5 credits each (15 credits total)
The Certificate in Ceramics and Sculpture provides students with a solid foundation to develop their technical and creative abilities. Ceramics classes will instruct the student in hand-building techniques, wheel-throwing, and glazing/firing methods. Beginning sculpture classes teach the basics of modeling in clay, plaster mold-making and casting, as well as carving techniques.
Student further their studies in the area of their choosing with six elective credits selected from among the Ceramics and Sculpture credit courses in offered to Continuing Education students at the Corcoran each semester.
