Certificate Program

Five courses at 3 credits each (15 credits total)

The Certificate in Graphic Design is designed for students who want to improve their knowledge of the fundamentals of graphic design. The program focuses on principles of design, Gestalt theory, page layout, and typography. Students may choose one elective to further develop their knowledge of industry-standard software.

Four (4) required courses:

• DM1200 Digital Design I
• GD1010 Fundamentals of Graphic Design
• GD2000 Design Studio I (CE/AFA)
• GD2050 Typography I (CE/AFA)

One (1) elective course may be chosen from the following:

• DM2210 Illustrator I
• DM2230 Page Layout: InDesign
• DM2220 Photoshop I
• DM2280 Interactive Web Design I
