BG1362: Painting Autumn Plants in Their Environment

Artists will have the opportunity to paint autumn plants found outdoors in historic Bartholdi Park and the National Garden or the many plants and varied settings found in the Conservatory. In both environments, artists will study, observe and paint flowers and plants in the context of the environment they are found. Jean Brinton Jaecks will demonstrate drawing and watercolor techniques to capture botanical subjects outdoors or in a greenhouse setting. All levels of artistic ability are welcome. Individual attention will be given, with particular emphasis on capturing plant detail, color and light using graphite and watercolor in these varied settings.
