CR3240: Clay and Glazes
In this course, students will learn the building blocks of glaze and clay. Emphasis will be on understanding materials and how they affect specific glazes. Color will be explored addressing sources, blending and interaction with the base glaze. Various types and historically important glazes will be discussed. Students will test their understanding through testing and developing glazes in the studio.
