DM2300: Motion Graphics I

This course explores motion graphics and visual effects for animation, video, and film using Adobe AfterEffects. Adobe After Effects turns static Photoshop and Illustrator artwork into fluid motion graphics. The course focuses on storytelling through sequence and kinetic image and type. Students learn the storyboard process before animating in the timeline. Asset management, timeline work flow, keyframes, sound, compositing techniques, basic keying, effects, lighting, and camera use are covered in this course.

The following prerequisites are required for this course:
DM1200: Digital Design I or DM2220: Photoshop I; and basic Illustrator experience.
