GD1010: Fundamentals of Graphic Design

This course will introduce students to the basic principles of design, composition, and form making, as well as the historical origin and contemporary application of these topics. Projects and class meetings will be structured to help students develop a design process and critique skills. The goal of this course is to provide a rigorous understanding of foundation principles and skills which will then serve as a strong base for all future design course work and practice. Requirements: A working knowledge of Mac OSX and Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

The following prerequisites are required for this course:
DM1200: Digital Design I.
