ID5000: Introduction to Interior Design

This introductory course provides students with an overview of the elements that comprise the practice of interior design. Studio assignments promote theoretical and analytical problem-solving skills. Students will learn the rudiments of the use of materials and finishes, interior construction, drafting and rendering, space planning, and color theory. This course is recommended for students considering interior design as a profession.

The graduate level of this course is open only to students who have been accepted to the MA in Interior Design or MA in Exhibition Design programs at the Corcoran. This course may be cross-tallied as ID1000 at the undergraduate level.
