PD1610: Pre-College Portfolio Development: Figure Painting

This course is designed for students planning to study fine arts at the college level, as well as for those who simply have an interest in painting. Working from observation and experimenting with abstraction, students will learn painting fundamentals and the basics of color theory and composition. Subject matter will include both nude and draped models. Students will be introduced to various materials, mediums, and techniques. Group and individual critiques will take place throughout the course. $0 $0 Parents/guardians should be aware that this course will utilize the academic tradition of the nude model.
