PH2110: Color Photography
This class introduces the student to the materials, techniques, and aesthetics of making color photographs using traditional chemical materials. Initially, the class will explore the use of a variety of transparency materials; however, the emphasis of the class will be on making prints from color negatives. The prints will be produced using enlargers with color filtration and an automatic roller-transport color processor. The aesthetics of color photography will be examined through group critiques and discussions of work by contemporary color photographers.
