PT2400: Intermediate Botanical Painting in Watercolor
This course is a continuation of PT1400 or PT211 Introduction to Botanical Painting in Watercolor. This course is a continuation of the techniques of transparent watercolor using live plant material. Students will learn to apply paint and render the precise characteristics of specific plants, paying close attention to form, detail, and color accuracy. Beginning with a simple plant form, students will move quickly to more complex plant portraits. Those with botanical drawings may proceed immediately to finished paintings.
