Special Topics in Botanical Art: Food for Thought

BG1600 (1.0 credits)
Inspired by the U.S. Botanic Garden’s exciting summer 2013 exhibit Food for Thought this class will teach the basics of botanical drawing and painting while studying edible plants from different regions.

Introduction to Ceramics

CR1205 (1.5 credits or audit)
Open to all skill levels, this course covers hand-building techniques, the wheel, glaze application, kiln use and firing methods.

Introduction to the Wheel

CR1250 (1.5 credits or audit)
Students are introduced to using the wheel to create functional pottery.

Intermediate Wheel Throwing

CR2250 (1.5 credits or audit)
Students will learn to improve their throwing skills and explore a range of decorative techniques.

Introduction to Ceramics

CR5205 (1.5 credits)

Digital Design I

All sections full, waitlist only

DM1200 (3.0 credits or audit)
This course introduces students to Adobe Creative Suite and is the pre-requisite for most Digital Media and Graphic Design courses at the Corcoran.
