My child is not 16 yet, can they attend the Pre-College Summer program?
The pre-college programs are designed for high school students who are between the ages of 16 and 18 and will be either a high school junior or senior in fall 2012.
Occasionally special exceptions are made to allow a student who has not yet reached their 16th birthday, but will be atleast a junior in the fall. To make a request that a special exception be made for your student, please e-mail
precollege@corcoran.org. The request must be made by a parent or guardian and include:
the child’s date of birth,
the child’s full name,
the program they wish to enroll in,
their current year in school (sophomore, junior, senior)
the name and contact information (phone and e-mail address) of the parent or guardian making the request.
The Director of Continuing Education will follow up by e-mail if any additional information is necessary. Requests for a special exception to the age requirement are considered case-by-case and when granted, are on a space available basis.
