Pre-College Programs

Our Pre-College classes are designed to prepare high school students for success in presenting a portfolio for admission to undergraduate art schools.

Fall 2014

PD1632: Pre-College Portfolio Development: Drawing with a Personal Perspective*

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Students learn to develop portfolio pieces that express their own creative voice while strengthening their drawing skills. This class introduces conceptual thinking, problem solving, and elements of composition such as balance, emphasis, etc., to create drawings that better represent each student's individual creativity and drawing skills. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in National Portfolio Day 2014.

Parents/guardians should be aware that life-drawing exercises utilize the academic tradition of the nude model. Signed program release and waiver forms are required for registration.

Note this course is restricted to high school juniors and seniors.
